Hello, my name is Alejandra Ramirez! Last month I traveled to Egypt with LocalAdventures, in my opinion it is a trip that is very worthwhile, you discover the wonders of ancient Egypt.

Tour: Explore the magic of the Nile River

You visit amazing places, you do incredible things that you will never forget, you learn a lot about another culture and history, it really is a trip that marks you.

Wonders of Ancient Egypt

I know that there is more than one person who wants to make this trip, but has no one to go with and perhaps does not dare to travel alone, and to those people I want to tell them to dare; Along the way they will make new friends.

With the guide you won't have to worry about anything.

We are accompanied by the police during the trip and you do not have to fear for your safety.

Don't worry about the language either, we go with the guide who speaks Arabic and Spanish at all times.

You really get by by speaking basic English and believe me many Egyptians speak at least a little Spanish.

I think the most important thing to do this trip is to go with an open mind, because you will get to know another continent, another country.

A very different culture due to its language, its customs, its gastronomy, its history, its social and economic context, and so on; and it is important to have an open mind and respect Egypt and its culture.

I am going to share with you what I visited in Egypt.

Wonders of Ancient Egypt

The first day I took the extra to Alexandria, and there we visited:

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa Pompey's Pillar Roman Theater Qaitbay Fortress Mediterranean Sea New Library of Alexandria

The second day we visited:

Pyramids of Giza (if you wish, you can go inside the Great Pyramid and/or take a camel ride) Sphinx Papyrus shop Pyramid of Djoser In the evening we take the bus to Aswan

On the third day, already in Aswan, we visited the Temple of Isis on the island of Philæ.

At night, those of us who wanted to took the extra advantage of going to a Nubian town and having dinner there.

On the fourth day I took the extra trip to Abu Simbel, and later we went to the Nile River, where we boarded a felucca.

We cruised the river, ate, and swam in the largest river in the world.

Later we had dinner, and then we disembarked the felucca to go with the Nubians to dance around a bonfire, that night we slept there in the Felucca.

The next morning (day 5) we went to the Kom Ombo Temple.

I found this temple very interesting because it has a Nilometer and has engravings of surgical instruments, we also visited the crocodile museum.

Afterwards we went to the Karnak temple, a very beautiful and impressive temple, then we visited an essence store, and we concluded the day visiting the Luxor temple.

Wonders of Ancient Egypt

I started the sixth day with a balloon flight in Luxor, an experience that is very worthwhile, it is a magical scene to appreciate the Nile River from above.

Afterwards we headed to the Valley of the Kings, where we visited the tombs of several pharaohs.

Later we went to the Temple of Hatshepsut, we closed that day visiting an Alabaster factory/store.

Again we took the bus to go to Hurghada.

On the seventh day I went diving to a reef in the Red Sea, it was one of my favorite activities.

We took a yacht to the reef, dived, then ate, rested for a while, and dived again.

The best thing about this activity is that you do not need experience, it is very relaxing.

Dive into the Red Sea and see many fish and corals of many colors and shapes.

At the end of the activity, we returned to the hotel and had free time to swim, or rest, or go for a walk.

In the early morning of the eighth day we left again for Cairo, there we visited The Suspended Church of the Virgin Mary, the Cave Church, the Babylon Fortress, the citadel of Salah Al-Din (where the mosque of Muhammad is located Ali).

Then we went to the Egyptian Museum, a museum full of incredible pieces, then we went to a bazaar, and finally we returned to the hotel for our farewell, that day the tour ended.

We had the ninth day free, some left that day, or stayed at the hotel to rest, others decided to take the opportunity to go out and see other things on our own.

We visited the Cave Church (located in the Coptic neighborhood), then we went to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

It is a very nice museum, much newer than the Egyptian Museum, in the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

The mummies of many pharaohs are found, and there are pieces and tools that date back to prehistory.

Wonders of Ancient Egypt

To close with a flourish we went to the Cairo Tower, which at 180 meters high is currently the tallest structure in all of Egypt.

This tower has a viewing platform and a revolving restaurant, where you can enjoy Egyptian cuisine for the last time accompanied by an amazing view.

Egypt is a very interesting country, full of things to see, do and try.

The best investment you can make is to travel, and believe me, Egypt is an incredible destination.
