Hello, friends, I'm Andrea Castillo and today I want to tell you about my experience in Egypt traveling with Local Adventures.

I recently came back from the experience: Nile River Adventure And my very sincere opinion goes:

1. The guide always took care of us at all times, I traveled with my father who is an elderly person and he was attentive to him all the time (details that I value a lot). He helped us buy things in supermarkets with the language barrier

2. The trip is tiring, a lot and you get lost almost every day but it is worth it because the entire itinerary is completed

3. The hotels are very good, clean and the people who served us treated us incredibly

4. Breakfasts in hotels are good

5. The police officer and the driver are amazing and were always looking out for us and if we needed anything, we felt safe at all times.

6. The itinerary is completed in a timely manner.

7. Transportation to the airport was quite punctual.

8. They always answered my questions before the trip.

My Experience in Egypt

Tips for your trip to Egypt:

Friends, first of all: Egypt is an incredible country, with its cons like everything in this life:

The sellers are super invasive, people try to take advantage of you at all times and for any reason, so don't even look at them, really because they won't leave you alone, unless you are willing to negotiate for a good price. , but on the last day they take you to a market and in Hurghada, outside the hotel, there are shops with fixed prices, I took advantage of that to shop because we had that afternoon free

Bathe in sunscreen: the sun is very strong, but a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a cap make a difference

Hydrate yourself all the time: take advantage of the supermarkets when you go and buy water (the truck always has them and they cost you 2 bottles of 600 for 1 dollar, of course they are much cheaper in the store)

Pounds are more or less 58 cents in weight, so always try to have either dollar or pound bills, put 10s to give tips and things like that (I recommend pounds because Egyptians don't like dollars and they get angry if you give it to them, although in the end, they end up reluctantly accepting)

My Experience in Egypt

Don't get henna tattoos

Do not buy in the stores where the guide takes you (you can find everything in the market and at much better prices)

Girls: it is very hot, but being covered with cool clothes is the best for a matter of respect for religion, perhaps no cleavage or thin straps, men ask you for photos, but it is preferable not to accept anything.

In the temples there are people who offer to take your photo: AGUAS, don't accept it because if you don't give them money they want to keep your cell phone.

Enjoy the trip very much, it is very worth it

Of all the extras, the ones I recommend the most are Abu Simbel, which is unmissable and wonderful, and the balloon ride is magical.
