Hello, I'm Phan Navarrete and I want to share my experience discovering Peru with Local Adventures in the Best of Peru tour.

At first I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to make the trip due to the political situation in the country, but soon they opened up to tourism and there was no longer any problem.

FLIGHTS

I acquired the service when they still had flights ✈️ And well, the truth is, very good service, with entertainment on screens and food. They checked my carry-on suitcase as well and let me go with another large bag upstairs without any extra round-trip costs so as not to carry anything. (LATAM airline)

I traveled with 2 other people and they went to the airport for us, we waited for other people who were also traveling with them and from there we went to the hotel.

HOTELS

In the first hotel they treated us very well, I think the check-in was 3 pm and from the moment we arrived, which was 7 am, they gave us full room service and breakfast.

They gave us a map and recommendations to go out, get to know Cuzco and we returned at 5 pm for recommendations for the next day.

Something cool is that the hotel itself asked you for a taxi in case you wanted to go out and they would come pick you up, the wait was approximately 5 to 10 minutes. (They recommended that we accept trips with a maximum price of 10 soles, because the distance was not much)

At the hotel where we stayed in Macchu Picchu it was only 1 night and it was close to everything (shops and river)

CLIMATE

I recommend bringing things for the cold if you are from CDMX, the weather is not at all the same as some say (nothing to see) it is very cold, it rains a lot and it gets dark at 6 pm

If it's sunny but the air is cold and if you're sensitive to the weather you're going to get sick if you don't cover up. (I still haven't recovered)

The only hot place was Macchu Picchu, but the train to get there and leave is freezing so you have to dress warmly.

In the other destinations it is cold but as you walk you get hot.

The guides recommend that you buy a raincoat because if you can manage to use it.

GUIDES

The guides were always very friendly and I personally liked that they were simple.

The explanations were simple but Justino, who was the main guide, gave reflections on life that I really liked. 🤍

During the tours they reminded us to drink water, they gave us coca leaves and what helped me the most was a lotion with herbs so I could breathe better. 🌿

They recommended places and spaces where there weren't many people or perspectives so that the photos looked better.

MEAL

The foods included were very tasty, although they were not very varied.

I didn't get sick with anything (I have a sensitive stomach and everything is very clean)

The food in the restaurants in Cusco was the best.

Suuuuper attentive, friendly, beautiful places, beautiful presentations, good price, and most importantly very delicious.

DESTINATIONS

Simply beautiful

All the destinations are beautiful, thank God the weather was in our favor and we enjoyed everything.

We had a good time in each destination and we took like a thousand photos haha

All areas are clean and everything is very nice in general.

I loved Maras and chincheros, the women who weave are incredible and the explanation is very good.

The structures of the buildings are very interesting.

Macchu Picchu is something majestic, a lot of peace and it is lucky to be able to enter as well as tour the spaces because there are archaeological areas where you cannot climb.

If you have energy when you arrive at Macchu Picchu town, in the evening you can take a tour of its streets to get to know it better and have dinner.

The train trip is very beautiful, I had never been on one and the entrance with the dancers is a beautiful detail because they take you from the station to the train, already on board there is a show that made me laugh because of the voices but in itself it's cute.

In Humantay Lagoon it is difficult to climb hehe but when the rain beat us the best thing was going up on horseback, I highly recommend it.

Getting there is worth it 1000 because it is something beautiful, one of my favorite places.

The mountain of 7 colors is still a challenge to climb but it is easier because the paths are not so steep, only when you arrive.

By the way, they sell super delicious alpaca pork rinds.

We took our extra days to get to know Cuzco on the tour that they offer in the streets and we were able to go to stores to buy many souvenirs and clothes.
